Interesting........I despise his folksy demeanor, Kennedy from Louisiana......

In the Senate, Kennedy is chiefly now known for distilling dry, complex, or even gravely serious issues down to a memorable soundbite… But some people who knew Kennedy from Louisiana politics say the politician they see on TV acts and sounds different than the person they remember.”

“They say he used to carry himself as closer to an Oxford-educated lawyer, which he is, than a fountain of folksy rejoinders. Kennedy’s public image can sometimes verge on country bumpkin — but in fact he is one of the best-educated members of the Senate.”

social security and his mother. He said my mom...clearly, then repeated as, my mowma in his phony drawl.

I always thought that was why "W" had trouble sometimes. One early "W" clip I've seen is from Fahrenheit 9/11. He was working on his dads campaign and was seen bragging how people had to go through him to talk to his dad. He comes off in that as what he really was, an eastern, smart-assed preppy boy. The drawl and swagger was something he had to learn to put one over on the morans. Staying in character while speaking made it tougher on him.

Mr. Haney from Green Acres. Acts like him, too. I can't listen to him, he seems so creepy.

They might take him for one of those librul coastal elites. Can't have that. I'm sure they love his corn-pone act, though. Just like them. Frankly, I think a lot of people fake accents. Take for instance, in the Ozarks where I have lived all by 6 years of my life. Over the past maybe 10 years, I hear way more people talking like hillbillies. People around here always had accents, but nothing like I hear now.
