Mark Cuban: Every household in America should receive a $1,000 stimulus check every 2 weeks for the

next 2 months

With around 13 million Americans unemployed and thousands of businesses permanently closed across the U.S., experts warn that more stimulus will be needed for economic recovery amid the ongoing pandemic.

However, Congress is at an impasse, and it looks unlikely that a deal on another stimulus package will happen any time soon. But “we need it as much now as we did back then,” at the start of the pandemic, Mark Cuban, self-made billionaire, investor on ABC’s “Shark Tank” and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, tells CNBC Make It.

Cuban says there are “two economies,” or two sets of realities, right now: One for those able to stay afloat and one for those unable to. “Those without [help] are struggling badly,” he says. “We need to get them help.”

To provide that help, Cuban supports more stimulus checks being dispersed, he says.

Something that starts off as temporary.

Also the amount decreases for people who make above certain amounts.

and it's even less likely that we expand the SCOTUS.

It's the price we pay for having so many centrist and/or bi-partisan yearning milquetoast members. The sect that loves these types on here will probably agree with them and give a bunch of divvy rationilisations why we need to keep the filibuster and never expand the court.

there are trillions of dollars just wasting away collecting interest for the 1% that years of bush and drumpf tax cuts have redistributed wealth for the top...... go get them.

$1000 biweekly for two months is about $5000 per household x 130 million households = $650 billion. a tiny drop in the bucket compared to the amount of wealthy given to the 1%.

We're at least 9 months from a vaccine, our cases are growing, winter's coming on. Bleak times ahead. Joe Biden will change the mood and have a plan, but it's going to be a long improvement in my opinion.

Was giving their people a monthly stimulus.

"Canada announced plans that include disbursing $2,000 stimulus payments and the U.S. included $1,200 stimulus checks as part of the CARES Act."

"The U.S. and Canadian stimulus payments don’t cover equivalent time periods. While the U.S. legislation calls for a single stimulus check to be sent to individuals, Canada’s will pay individuals for the next four months."

The Canadian program did not give to everyone, the U.S. did. U.S. gave $10,800 to those affected by CV-19, Canada gave $5,600.

But it should be funded by a massive tax on the companies that have done the best during the pandemic.

Most of this money will go back to them up anyway.

But there are no such "free lunch" options for getting through the pandemic. There's very expensive, or way more hugely expensive.
