He has been told that hes losing badly and his world is crumbling around him and he has had a break. He needs medication and to be 25thd. Immediately. He could without question attempt to launch a nuclear missile. He is capable of any behavior at this stage.

Malignant narcissist? Not getting his way? Breaking down? His "reality" that he convinces himself is real is no longer working for him and his "power of positive thinking" which has turned into one, massive delusion and it is falling apart big time.
It's a syndrome.

(67,112 posts)something like that. Trump, is likely to totally flip out IMO. He's also a control freak for what he wants. He will go berserk when it finally sinks in that he can not bully and try to control the situation of You're Fired.

(10,597 posts)Donald Trump...by conscious, deliberate choice...is a disguising, deplorable human being. It isn't explained away by mental illness, or Daddy Trump being mean to him when he was little.
He has agency, he has no conscience or moral center, he chooses his actions on how it will satisfy his wants & desires in the immediate moment.
Maybe not psychotic. But narcissistic sociopath for sure. I read an article that was endorsed by dozens of professionals labeling him as such. Hes just a terrible person, basically.

(11,787 posts)General Kelly is right, if he said Trump is the most flawed human being he has ever known. Who has ever known somebody as narcissistic as Trump, who is so openly vindictive and behaves like a spoilt-rotten two year old? IMO, Trump is the most dangerous person on the planet. He is the last person who should have access to WMD. That he is surrounded only by yes-men means there is no controls over what angry impulse he may have at three o'clock in the morning one day after his election defeat.

(38,419 posts)My experience with my daughter on different steroids is that it didn't create rage, etc. BUT it multiplied whatever she was feeling at least 10-fold, and took away any ability to avoid acting on whatever she was feeling.
She was only 5 at the time . . . but since that's probably a little older than Trump's mental age it's probably a safe ground for assessment.

(76,188 posts)I was on 1,200mg per day of Solumedrol for 6 days. Then, weened with prednisone for around 5 weeks. Solumedrol is a metabolite of prednisone, so it's effect is 25-30% that of prednisone. Basically, 1,500-1,600mg per day. IOW, a lot!
From day 3 to about the end of week 3, I was wound tighter than a suspension spring.
Happy was bouncing off the walls, happy.
Irritated was nuclear irritated.
Disappointed was end of the world, disappointed.
I controlled it & I'm not a sociopath, so there was no harm done. But, that isn't the case with PINO!
Ms. Toad
(38,419 posts)but her taper was 50 day, so sounds about the same. She was not able to articulate what was going on as a 5-year old, but irritated was nuclear irrirated describes perfectly her reaction to me picking her up from the babysitter. She was so nuclear irritated that she literally tried to climb out of the car window while we were driving along at about 40 mph (after screaming and crying at the top of her lungs for several minutes after we had left the babysitter). I barely got the car pulled over in time to prevent it.
In that time period there were just so many times she was inconsolable - and all I could do was just grab her, wrap her in my arms against her struggles, and hold on as tight as I could. It was the only thing that seemed to calm her. And it tool a year before her emotions were back on even keel.

Mr.Bill
(24,906 posts)that has already happened. Perhaps more than once.
I read what happens exactly when, and if, the president gives the orders and codes. It instantly goes to a group of generals and commanders who decide to continue or not. The entire process from opening the football, to dispatching the orders to all the missile sites is 14 minutes.
The Velveteen Ocelot
(129,773 posts)not nearly as barking mad as Trump, but enough to be worrisome, and so Defense Secretary Schlesinger and the Joint Chiefs were watching closely to be sure that no unauthorized orders were given to military units by the White House.
