(10,481 posts)We got pizza and wings. Went to my aunt's house/mom's sisters house where my cousins and uncle were.
Looked okay til 9...my mom was hysterical and crying. My uncle and her got into a huge fight. I took her out of the house because it got bad.
This year no food, no alcohol, staying home. Just gonna see what happens. I'm extremely superstitious

(141,926 posts)finding to whomever I contribute never wins, so have saved a fortune; will help out later.
Usually home alone, expecting similar Nov. 3; have some wine in fridge, and maybe something to smoke.

(10,481 posts)I'm confident since early voting numbers are out the wazoo. But fingers crossed. I have one song ready if they announce Joe 46th. Return of the Jedi ending

(111 posts)Today I bought a bottle of Prosecco for New Year's Eve. A little early, sure. But never hurts to plan ahead. And if I happen to have an occasion to open it before then, so be it.

(34,189 posts)For the first time in about thirty years. It should be quite an experience since I understand quality is much better than when we last partook.
Since I don't plan to do this until a Biden win is absolutely certain, it may be a few days after Nov. 3.

(5,838 posts)I have two Ninja cookers. They are great. Hoping the grill is as nice. Will let you know. Going to do steak and salad on our first try out.

(5,838 posts)I like it and it sure is less messy than frying or using the broiler. Cleans up beautifully -- literally wipes clean. Takes a bit of time to understand the instructions, but once you use it, not a big deal. I used the thermometer probe and the steaks came out just right. Totally smokeless also.
Enjoy!

(63,221 posts)A valium IV would be nice. I will probably feel sick all day, but should have something in my stomach.
Maybe I will make some risotto. Something comforting and easy to digest. Probably should get some wine too. I will be a nervous wreck.
