When I was a teenager, I was visiting a friend

who lived in what was the former farm along the Delaware river on the New Jersey side. They had a large old barn which was I some Fair disrepair and was not electrified at all, and my friend asked me to get an implement from one of the stalls so I walked in there and had one of those ultra-frightening experiences of my lifetime. Upon reaching for the pitchfork, A rat which I had unwittingly cornered jumped for my face. Almost miraculously I had been wearing work gloves and instinctively swiped at it and batted it into the corner across from me and it bolted, first for me, then made a sharp left hand turn and ran out of the stall.

There has only been one other time in my life in which I shook as much following a “situation”.

Trump is the cornered rat. He will do anything in an attempt to save himself, no matter how irrational, no matter how ill-founded, no matter how dangerous for everyone else. There is no telling what’s next, since rational people cannot conceive of that which the insane person can And will. The next few weeks in this country will be unlike any others in its history. We are now on a 24 hour clock, since day and night, work and rest, labor and leisure, mean nothing to these people. This is a macro equivalent of the Battle of the Bulge in World War II, or the naval battle of Midway. The first shots have been fired, the planes are in the air: We are now “All in”. Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.

Michigan is full of these terrorist groups. None are 'headquartered' anywhere near me, but then Michigan also isn't that massive of a state. I live in a very Blue district, and that demographic just might make it a target.

I've already cut back to only 2 trips a month for groceries or necessities. I am voting in person on November 3 (I need the security of watching my ballot go into that scanner and be counted) and when I leave my precinct, I'm making one last stop for perishables. After that, I don't plan on leaving my property until Nov 11 for an appointment that, fortunately, is just down the street.

And to be perfectly honest, I don't know when or even IF I will ever be comfortable letting my guard down and return to masked normality.

We've found Walmart and Amazon Prime Whole Foods food delivery excellent ways to stock the pantry. Peace of mind. $99 annually for Wally and Prime membership covers Whole Foods.

I'm a big fan of Aldi and there is one right up the street. I do probably 90% of my grocery shopping at Aldi and they have a pick up and a delivery service.

I've been thinking about what might happen for a while, so my pantry and freezer are well stocked. I buy organic milk, which has a lengthy shelf life.

My niece and brother have let me know if I need ANYTHING, to give them a call. Actually, if there would be any trouble, my brother would offer to move right in and likely bring a few firearms. Although the trouble would have to be pretty significant for me to break my "NO GUNS ALLOWED IN MY HOUSE!!!!" rule.

But I'm going to give some strong thought to what you have suggested.

My local Instacart has several supermarkets and grocery stores, plus Target, Walgreens, and even 7-11.

Our Target has drive up delivery, which is great. They are fast, and will bring it out to your car and put it in your trunk, or hatch, or back seat. They will do this for as little or as much as you want. They don't require a $35 order for that.

We also have the Walmart delivery, and Amazon, both Whole Foods and Fresh (which I like a lot).

Between all these options, I have only been in a store maybe 4 times since March. I miss it. I miss being able to see and touch the things I am buying. But there are too many unmasked nutters out there, so i mostly order delivery these days.
