paranoid and pissed off

I am sitting here on Sunday on day 11 of my Covid experience. I had the highest temperature that I have had this morning. My blood oxygen is down to the lowest it has been, still in the 90’s but going down each day. I fully expect to be hospitalized today or tommorow if our hospital has any rooms left. We are in the biggest surge of Covid we have had in my small city of Wichita Falls, Texas. Pissed off that my wife and I who has it too, were super careful. We Haven’t been to a restaurant since March, and have only been back to Church twice since our church requires.you to be masked coming in but allows you to take them off once you get inside as Most people do. Pissed off that we have been sick during early voting. Sent for an absentee ballot but who knows when we will get it. I don’t know if I will have a chance to be able to vote against the orange turd. Pissed off that someone who didn’t give a damn gave this shit to my wife and I. I just needed to vent this morning, this stuff sucks big time.

much good. Covid spreads much easier when someone is inside, not outside.
Anyhow, hope you get better soon!
Before Trump went on his hospital helicopter trip, he was taking melatonin, and pepcid.
Those are the things one can take at home. There are also vitamins D and C.

You do NOT lie on your back; side or stomach lying down, lean forward when sitting up. The lungs expand better to the back. It helps my mom when she feels short of breath, hope it helps you.
Best wishes for your recovery.

Cytokine Storm that does so much lung damage. They also published one advising that vitamin D helps with some of the cardio vascular issues.

Can't find the vitamin D article but the Melatonin paper is here:

...but in scanning through the article, I feel like I am walking a maze not built for laymen.

I only know Melatonin as an OTC (over the counter) sleep aid, so bedtime use only and only as I remember.

So my questions are:
When to start? At onset of symptoms, onset of exposure, or prophylactically generally?
What dosage? My bottle is 5 mg, take one.
How many times a day?

Same questions about Zinc and D. Pretty damn sure I get enough D, as my doc started me on it several months ago: 50,000 units once a week. Zinc is part of my Calcium tablets.

Sorry to lay this on you! But you are the latest in a string of posters recommending supplements, and the only one I can recall who actually linked to a medical article, which I always appreciate. Perhaps you can point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

I'll keep looking and see if I can find an answer for you.

I don't subscribe to home remedies and such unless I can find a real source like Mayo or NIH I assume they are anecdotal.

https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fmed.2020.00226/full

The site looks legit and it doesn't advertise anything, always a good sign. Lots of other sites suggest a 'normal' dose of 3mg and up to 10mg for 30 days. The above site has this recommendation in graphic form:

For us elderly it recommends up to 10mg taken as if for sleep and 40mg for front line health care workers.

Nowhere does any source say that Melatonin is a defined treatment/preventative for Covid 19. There are currently a number of studies underway but this stuff takes time and people have Covid now and all articles indicate that Melatonin is benign with very minor side effects for up to 10mg for 30 days.

I am not a doctor, don't play one on TV and any advice is purely anecdotal.

Do your own google for Melatonin + Covid 19 and make your own educated choices.

My husband and I are in our 70s, and the accumulation of life’s slings and arrows mean we both have co-morbidities (ugh, what a word).

10 mg at bedtime it is, then, unless we are dealing with verified exposure, which we will continue to do our utmost to avoid.

Stay well.

your situation may suddenly reverse. Keep sitting up to breath. Sleep propped up as much as possible. Try to relax.

Years ago, when I was a child, I had a neighbor who had a debilitating pain on the back of her shoulder. She was full of despair about it. One day, she felt a hand on the spot. Next thing she knew the pain was gone. There was no visible hand or person near her when that happened.

She was so filled with wonder at it that she told a few people, but was not preaching or anything. She is long gone, but I am passing her story on to you. It absolutely would not hurt to ask for help from beyond. Meanwhile, we all will do the same for you and your wife.

if you caught it in church you aren't the only one.

these churches have been totally irresponsible for allowing people to take off masks. i wish, when you saw people unmasking, you had gotten up and walked the fuck out.

Tell your church to get Trumpvirus killing technology.

Trump's Christians say they have Trumpvirus killing technology.

Church leaders of venue hosting Phoenix Trump rally claim they've installed technology that kills '99.9 per cent' of coronavirus in ten minutes

‘So when you come into our auditorium, it’s gone - killed’

Surely Trump's Christians would not lie. again

Yet you still have to sign a waiver.
