We, the people, are bleeding.

In high school, a kid tried to bully me. He said to me, "I'll kick your ass!" My response was to give him my best cold stare and say, "Well, you're welcome to try." He muttered another obscenity and walked away.
Bullies are cowards

You may get your ass kicked this time, but next time the bully will look for an easier target.
