This is a big deal coming from Coons. It shows how the center of gravity on expanding the court is shifting in the face of GOP smash and grab confirmation process. This is an area where looking to moderate Senate Dems is more revealing than pressing Biden for an answer.

There really isn't a choice, but I'm glad the centrist Dems are saying non committal answers like this, until Nov 4th anyway.
