Delaware senator says he's 'not a fan' but is open to adding justices to Supreme Court

Democratic Delaware Senator Chris Coons said that he is open to adding more justices to the Supreme Court in an interview with Jake Tapper on CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday.

Coons, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, told Tapper that like former Vice President Joe Biden, he is "not a fan" of expanding the court. However, he said if Biden were to be elected, "we'll have to look at what the right steps are to rebalance our federal judiciary."

When Tapper pressed him to answer "Yes or No" if he is open to expanding the Supreme Court, Coons answered, "Yes."

Court-packing, the act of expanding the Supreme Court to shift the ideological balance, has been a major question for Biden recently amid the Senate's confirmation hearing for President Donald Trump's Supreme Court Justice Nominee Amy Coney Barrett.

Followed by the reasons....

I.E.
one stolen seat
One seat two weeks before the election, which was the reason for the first point.
And a full throated explanation of how against the common American these appointments have been.

Is asked about this, they need to also reiterate that right now, when ACB is seated, the makeup of the court will be 6 Conservative Justices to 3 Progressive/liberal judges. That is a 2 to 1 ratio.

Or simply put, the court is very unbalanced with the Conservatives having an overwhelming majority.

And it’s completely out of step with the American public’s expectations and current political stand.

It needs to be hammered home each and every time.

Add in term limits so that a rotation develops allowing each Presidential term to appoint a percentage of the total.

let the next president fill the seat and keep the court status quo.
they already robbed one seat along with the 100+ lower court seats they took.
They already had a majority on the court. They still would have even with another liberal justice.

but

they can ram this through, damn the torpedoes, and take what may result.

all indications are that they will shove it down our throats until we choke on it and then cry when they dont like the consequences.
