Your mask, unless it is full N-95 medical, offers you only limited protection. However even a freaking bandana neck gaiter significantly reduces the atomized droplets spewed by you into the air around you.

The unmasked are not exercising their individual freedom, they are poisoning the commons.

5. Next time someone creeps up next to me

without a mask or mask pulled down under their chin or under their nose I am going to yell at the top of my lungs "Help ... Assault !" That will get their attention. No more will you kindly step back or whatever. Because that is what it is, an assault on my person when they get close to me without a mask ... by now everyone knows to wear a mask and it is the law where I live.

6. I was at a family wedding yesterday.

It was outside, with over 200 people. I think I saw maybe 6 other people wearing masks. Lots of hugging, a large crowded dance floor, excessive drinkers all in each other's faces, handshakes... They cooked a pig, and all the fixin's, and everyone was serving themselves using the same utensils. I did see one bottle of hand sanitizer. I got home and took a shower. I'm curious to find out how many family members may turn up sick in the next week.
