She has been sick for a few days, and is getting worse with atypical symptoms. She had a virtual visit today. Please spare a kind thought for her. I'm worried for her.
I am asymptomatic right now, but will pursue getting tested if she comes back positive. We both have been 95% quarantined for 220 days now.
Absolutely no idea how she/we would have been exposed, but there it is.
I probably won't be around here much, but I'll check in.

(38,581 posts)A lot of Rite Aids have them. (I had one less than 2 hours ago - I set it up on Saturday, so the wait around here is relatively short)

(22,177 posts)I really hope all goes well. I have a couple friends in different states who contracted it back in the summer. Both got pretty sick, but recovered without hospitalization and so far, fingers crossed, no long term issues. One friend wasn't too surprised. The other is in the high risk group and she quarantined as best she could for months. But, it's nearly impossible to complete quarantine. You can greatly reduce the odds, but the odds are never zero.

(20,532 posts)I've known about a dozen people who've been tested in the past month (most recently my daughter, s-i-l, and two grandchildren last Friday) and none of them tested positive for COVID-19. There are a lot of nasty rhinoviruses scooting around right now, and flu season has started early.
That said, I really hope your wife won't test positive. That would be a load on both your shoulders you certainly don't need, and no one knows how this virus impacts a person's future health. We're always here for you and Mrs. LuckyCharms, and please keep us posted on your results. Lean on us, Lucky. You're not in this alone. That's what we're all here for.

(55,101 posts)of Covid infections which can't be traced back to anyone even though you did all the right things to prevent it. I haven't had anyone in my apt since June when my dog died. My carpet needs cleaning but it will have to wait, like going to my dentist for cleaning. I got tested in Aug and got the results back within 48 hours (when I had a fever for a week, but no cough). I had self isolated and couldn't figure out where I could have been infected since I always masked up the few times I went out to buy groceries. I still don't know what I had but it wasn't Covid.
