I'll conveniently add in the fact that Florida Department of Transportation regulations expressly prohibits signs--including political signs--being placed on either median strips or grass swales on public roadways.
All I am saying is that I may have made an unusually wide turn pulling out of my neighborhood this morning. A very, very broad turn. (Left turn, I might add.)
And damn, did that ever feel good.

(13,747 posts)I took one out on the dirt bike a couple of weeks back. I had to hop a median, cross two lanes of traffic and jump a curb just to tag it.

(10,486 posts)My car has also reacted to similar circumstances by trying to take an unusually wide turn. But then I've reminded it that the RWers who place those signs have been known to put some sort of booby trap there for any car that does so. My car then decided against the wide turn.

(44,572 posts)That being said, given that the sign was illegally placed in the first place, I felt like I could give my turning radius a certain level of...discretion.
Dark n Stormy Knight
(10,486 posts)that happens to find the sign in its path. I have no proof, but it's totally believable considering what we know about RWers.
