Bloomberg knocks Trump back on his heels in Florida

Billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s $100 million investment in Florida to defeat Donald Trump is recasting the presidential contest in the president’s must-win state, forcing his campaign to spend big to shore up his position and freeing up Democratic cash to expand the electoral map elsewhere.

Bloomberg’s massive advertising and ground-game spending, which began roughly a month ago, has thrown Trump into a defensive crouch across the arc of Sunbelt states. As a result, the president‘s campaign has scaled back its TV ad buys in crucial Northern swing states like Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan — a vacuum being filled by a constellation of outside political groups backing Joe Biden.

“It’s forced the Trump campaign to retrench in Florida. You can see it in the spending habits, in television and digital. They’re investing more at the expense of places they need to win,” said Steve Schale, who leads the pro-Biden Unite the Country super PAC.

“Basically, Trump has now been committed to the equivalent of land war in Asia by having to spend so much of his money in Florida, a state he has to win to get to 270 Electoral College votes,” Schale said. “And as a result, he doesn’t have the resources to compete everywhere he would like.”

some of the campaign funds he sent to Trump businesses. He embezzled from a campaign fund for personal use. That is indictable.

6. Thanks to Mr. Parscale, it's hard to redirect $ spent on hookers, drugs, plastic surgery, and booze.

I guess the mcmansions, yachts, cars, and businesses could be repossessed and sold at auction.

Way to go Brad, thanks for embezzling from an embezzler.

Truth is, I've never liked him much before, and my indifference-to-animosity could return, but I have to say he's undergone some major redemption for me.

13. Trump wants all the free media coverage he got in 2016

If he holds rallies, the media covers him. If he says something outrageous, the media covers him. If he flouts COVID-19 restrictions, the media covers him. If he steps out of the White House, the media covers him leaving.

STOP COVERING HIM FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS!!!!!!

14. Biden ads are all over South Florida

Very effective. I do wish they would be more specific on Trump getting rid of social security.

The best ad uses Trump's image and words, "What we want to do is terminate health care..."

That clip runs twice during the ad. They smartly leave out the following words where Trump says, "...under Obamacare." It leaves the impression Trump wants to get rid of all health care. I loved it when I first saw it, because the other side uses that tactic all the time.

He likely doesn’t need it but if Biden wins Florida that would be game, set, match for Joe.

Still loving Bloomberg sticking it to Chitolini on a CBS interview....when the interviewer asked if he worried if some saw this as an argument between two Billionaires he coldly asked who the other one was?
