Just a little worried about the debate and Biden's safety. Really hoping it doesn't happen. As far as I know, COVID-19 patients usually cease to be contagious about 10 days after symptoms begin. However, the White House's lack of clarity on the president's health makes me uncomfortable. What a shit show.

(5,056 posts)He looks and sounds much more healthy than his WR days. And we haven't heard any more wide spread COVID cases around the WH. So my assumption is that he is ok now.

(38,419 posts)The standard is two negative RNA tests. He has categorically declined to provide that information - and from what he has disclosed the implication is that the last one he referred to was positive (but low viral load)

(18,962 posts)one would normally assume he is not contagious anymore.
HOWEVER, Trump's got a whole entourage travelling with him everywhere, as does Biden, so getting those two groups together is a bad idea when you consider person A infecting B infecting C infecting D infecting E infecting F, etc...

(15,247 posts)I don't know if he's contagious or not. I suspect he's still suffering from complications of Covid19 or the drugs he was taking to treat his illness.
