(8,657 posts)1. She's pulled back quite a bit, it like almost 20 last week.

(93,602 posts)2. This is a very difficult race but I still want it to be close as possible.
Norbert
(7,762 posts)3. She is doing most things right ...
but the McConnell 'vote for me because she is worse than I am', is a tough hill to climb apparently.
Buckeyeblue
(6,351 posts)4. McGrath is a decent candidate but she is not aggressive enough
I don't think she connects well with people. She had a chance to really confront Moscow Mitch at their debate but couldn't quite do it.
I think Mitch will retire in a year or two. I don't think his health is good. He has been falling.
I think he ran because he thought he cold lead a Senate majority against Biden to try to position the party for midterm pick ups. He may retire sooner if the Senate flips.

Tanuki
(16,442 posts)6. If he retires, his replacement would be appointed by the governor,
currently a Democrat, and would serve until the next statewide election.
Buckeyeblue
(6,351 posts)7. But if the Senate flips that wouldn't matter much.
Sherman A1
(38,958 posts)8. I don't see him retiring
he might step down from the leadership slot, but until there is a GOP Governor to replace him, I bet he stays.
