1918 was the Spanish flu pandemic. It was also right in the middle of the Jim Crow era and the peak of the Klu Klux Klan.

She indeed has seen a lot in her lifetime and her resolve to vote at 102 years old during a dangerous pandemic should be an inspiration to all.

Yes, I LOVE her. But I'm questioning myself if I would have felt the same if she'd been wearing a MAGA hat. God, i hope this election isn't warping my sense of kindness and I would have still loved her regardless.

when she died a little over two years ago. I had forgotten how badly she wanted to live to vote him out.
