For recounts. Bush v Gore was an equal protection dispute over recount procedures, not an initial count of ballots.

Unless Trump takes FL, and Biden’s margin in each of the Rust Belt States is less than 0.5% (current 538 Avg. is Biden +6-8%), SCOTUS won’t have a role, and only after state courts weigh in.

19. I have to say I have heard all of this before. I'm not predicting.

I have heard how the DNC had lawyers to protect the vote and then they never showed up in North Carolina.
I have heard that the militia warriors will face opposition and then I saw what happened to the Bundy gang, who are on the road as we speak.
I have seen the faces of my neighbors in Montana and the flags flying from the tailgates, up and down the valley with the gun racks loaded and the Full Camo on display. I do not doubt they are sincere and ready to react.

Whatever legal truths the guy in the video believes will stand on the day it will NOT be pretty and it may get very ugly.
Trump and the GOP may be disorganized criminals but they remain capable of more than minor mischief. I agree that Trump hasn't the power he claims. Barr and others seem able to bend enough of what's happened up to now to make the outcome difficult.

I'll believe it when it happens.

I have seen too often the promises evaporate or turn out to be much less effective than required. They refused to believe the warnings in 2000 and ever since they have denied it happened. I think they may be underestimating the Russian factor still.

Trump successfully stealing the election despite a convincing electoral win for Biden seems... unlikely.

Trump causing massive civil unrest by inciting violence amongst his most fervent supporters by denouncing the results of the election as illegitimate seems far more likely.

Do you think Trump is likely to tweet, “Congrats Joe you fought hard. I concede” or “RIGGED. DEEP STATE COUP. RESIST.”

If the initial count shows a clear Biden win, with no recourse via recounts, no court would have any jurisdiction.

Secretaries of State would certify the results, governors would appoint slates of electors, and Biden would become president. The courts would have no role or authority.

but IF Trump is able to move the decisions about vote counting to the Courts, the law will not matter. As we already see happening with rulings in places like Texas, Florida and Alabama.
