We've had 4 years of non-stop scandal, criminality, madness, the most incredible corruption ever,

every day a new obnoxious or idiotic statement, over 200,000 Americans dead from a mismanaged pandemic AND what could be rightfully called treason from this president.

He is clearly unfit for this office, a complete disgrace to the country and rightfully should be in jail.

What I don't understand is how he has ANY CHANCE of winning?

I know FoxNews, his cult, rightwingers are in a bubble, blah blah blah.

But COME ON!!!!

Hands down, he's the worst president ever. Economy is way worse than when he started. Our standing in the world has plummeted. The country is in a horrible mess: a raging pandemic, massive debt, civil unrest, political chaos.

And it could be that the polls are right and Biden does win in a landslide.

But WHY THE FUCK does tRump have any chance???

I mean, we are seriously at the point where somehow the past 4 years don't matter, it's all even and whatever happens in the next two weeks could change the outcome??

What the everloving fuck?

I will carry that sentiment with me to the grave.

Generation z is voting in droves.

The sad thing about the crimes is no journalist spend time running stories down to the end and reporting. They’re afraid of tweets. It’s mind numbing.

The media is downplaying it in a very big way. They may he worried about sending trump off the deep end. Who knows.
Generation Z is voting in very large numbers.
That being said. At least 5 countries are attacking our election.

What the hell went so wrong to cause so many to betray their country... for what? Racism and bunch of Q nonsense? All this spite just to own the libs? What stupidity. What a waste. I only hope we can heal after all the damage they’ve done. Crazy.

They have been thoroughly conditioned via Fox News, RW radio, and RW internet propaganda and social media friends to see us like Americans saw the Japanese and the Germans in WWII. We are the evil other to them, and they would rather sink this country under Trump than let us win. After all, the evangelicals see Trump at worst as the antichrist to bring the rapture.

Because Trump and his supporters are a bunch of sadistic sociopaths. This administration is about intentionally pissing people off. When Trump does the wrong thing and his brain dead idiot MAGA fanbase cheers him on, they truly believe in doing the wrong thing. They're abusive jerks - the bullies who beat you up in school and then laughed as you were stuffed into a locker or had your head flushed in the toilet. That's what we're up against. Sadists with red hats.

if it weren't for Moscow Mitch and other MF'ers in the Senate, it wouldn't have gotten this far.

Those prick assholes need to get a good chunk of the blame for this mess. And the MSM ain't doing squat about reporting it.

It’s a good question. How can someone as transparently unfit for office as Trump still enjoy a relatively decent floor of support and a shot at re-election?

My thoughts:

1) The GOP is extremely good at propaganda. This is is something they spend millions researching. Liberals and Democrats have a lot to learn here; too many of us are too quick to argue politics with reason. Reason works in academic philosophical debates, but almost never changed minds in politics. Basically, liberals need to go for the gut in communicating.

The fact that ideas as transparently insane as QAnon’s are mainstream now is testimony to how good at disseminating propaganda conservatives are.

2) Huge numbers of voters don’t follow the news very closely. They tend to assume everyone in politics is basically somewhat corrupt, so Trump’s truly horrid qualities don’t stand out as much as they should.

3) Huge numbers of voters vote their culture, not their economic interests. (This is actually not always a bad thing; in terms of cold economics, many liberals are affluent enough that they would theoretically benefit from GOP fiscal policies but vote Democratic out of affinity with blue ideals.)

The GOP understand this very well. They can sell a grossly immoral buffoon as championing the culture of Evangelicals/Rural Whites partly through their skill at propaganda (see #1, above.) Liberals probably need to figure out ways to sell their message to members of Republican leaning cultural blocks, which unfortunately have disproportionate power because of the electoral college.
