How disappointed will you be if your state doesn't go for Biden but Joe wins. I'm in Ohio and I'll party like there's no tomorrow, but winning my state would be the cherry on top.

(3,075 posts)and I am optimistic, even tho I'm surrounded by a ridiculous amount of trump signs in my neighborhood. I'm hoping the blue areas of Ohio have expanded since '16.

(47,423 posts)My county has gone bluer, that's for sure. Whether it's enough to overcome all those rural counties, we will have to wait to see.

(10,497 posts)The better Biden does, the better our down ballot races will do.
Right now, Biden is in a toss up, Greenfield is slightly ahead of Ernst, and well retain the 3 Democratic House seats. Of course, Steve Kings district will remain deeply red with Feenstra.

And it'll only be the 3rd time this century that Ohio didn't go with the winner, and that's just fine with me:

(13,601 posts)we're unfortunately familiar with feeling like we're in the belly of the beast, and dining on ashes the day after Election Day. We try our damnedest but have learned not to be overly optimistic.
If Georgia goes Blue this year, you better believe there will be hooting and hollering loud enough you'll hear it all the way to Ohio!
