https://www.rawstory.com/2020/10/trump-mulls-firing-fbi-director-and-bill-barr-because-they-wont-investigate-joe-biden/On Wednesday, The Washington Post reported that President Donald Trump is considering firing FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General William Barr, out of frustration that the two of them havent been able to lock up his political enemies.
The conversations among the president and senior aides stem in part from their disappointment that Wray in particular but Barr as well have not done what Trump had hoped indicate that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, his son Hunter Biden, or other Biden associates are under investigation, these people say, reported Devlin Barrett and Josh Dawsey. Like others, they spoke on the condition of anonymity to disclose internal discussions.
Yeah you should definitely do that Donny.

(2,343 posts)the appropriate hands-off approach when necessary.
Wray may have come with glowing credentials and ready to become his own man. Then, buppkiss...nothing. He's a slug. Mostly unaware, unengaged, low-energy, and uncooperative. He's not an agent of change the Bureau needs.
In the few times he's testified before a committee, his permanently confused puss with his half- opened eyes, doesn't instill confidence.
Comey didn't leave him much, but he's the tim to get serious about somethings. He could certainly turn shit much quicker.
He's just in over his head.

(34,857 posts)They serve a ten year term. I guess Biden could ask him for his resignation, but that might not be the optics he's looking for at the start of his presidency.

(19,749 posts)As far as I'm concerned, it is imperative that Biden remove every single person who accepted an appointment from Trump that Biden has the legal/constitutional authority to remove.
If you accepted an appointment/promotion from Trump, the American people cannot trust you to faithfully execute your duties. Full stop. Categorically. Ergo you must be removed if possible.
Any of these people who will be claiming that they "held the line" against Trump, that they defended the republic, or various institutions, against Trump because they were being REAL patriots sacrificing their reputations to defend the thing from the inside..... They can prove it by resigning after Trump is gone. And if they don't immediately offer their resignation, they are not the patriots they claim to be. BECAUSE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE KNOW TRUMP APPOINTEES ARE TAINTED.
