We were long time co-workers. I've known her for probably 25 or more years. She's married to a physician (both are retired) and has been so careful, following the precautions because her husband's health isn't the best. He's also not feeling well, although he's convinced he doesn't have Covid. The update I got, just now, has me bracing myself for the next bit of news about either of them, or both.
It really just takes one slip-up - and it can be something so small you will never be able to recall what it was.

(38,958 posts)My best friends Mom, just lost her friend to Covid. Hit the lady out of nowhere it seems, she was certainly older, but still very healthy and she went quickly.
This disease is such a scourge and its handling is simply criminal.

(114,683 posts)I never get out of the second stage of grief lately--ANGER. Nor am I likely to, until sanity& science drives our response to COVID-19.

(27,891 posts)Anger, and this latest news certainly isn't helping my battle with anxiety, that's for sure. Before Covid, I pretty much managed it with CBD. Now I've been put on medication.
I'm about to head up to Aldi and I can tell you that I will be 10 times as fanatical as usual. And will probably double my wine purchase.

I'm hoping for the best for your friend and husband.

Hoping for the best for your friends.

My small family has been so safe. Wife had to fly to Washington State for work boom, bumped into infected not careful people.
Even If you think it's a cold test and quarantine yourself.
Second hand that almost killed me.
