NC Voting Update: October 22

October 15 was the first day of Early Voting in NC. After the sites closed on Wednesday, October 21, here are the updated totals:

Mail-in ballots received: 693,198
Early voting (7 days): 1,744,218

Total: 2,437,416

Party breakdown of those who have voted:

Democratic: 1,038,751
Unaffiliated: 698,179
Republican: 691,174
Libertarian: 7,718
Green: 840
Constitution: 754

33.3% of registered voters have already voted! Lookin good!

I think so, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this group is going to flip the other way and vote for Biden, 53-37.

More young people are registering unaffiliated and tend to vote for climate and social justice issues. NC has a large active and retired military population due to all the bases here. I'm guessing the "losers and suckers" name calling from Trump along with the Russian bounties on US soldiers which he didn't denounce are going to lose him a lot of votes from the military. We'll have to wait and see.
