Early voting started Tuesday here. I went by at lunchtime, and the line was around the building. So today I got there about 10 minutes before they opened. There were about 20 others there.
There were plenty of poll workers, who did a great job of keeping things flowing. I looked up the ballot Sunday on Ballotpedia.org so I would know which judges were appointed by Sam Brownhole and vote to get rid of them. Overall, it took less than 30 minutes.
They had plastic-wrapped "I Voted" stylus pens, which you got to keep, and a cool sticker. Everyone had a mask, kept a reasonable distance, and most of the workers also had face shields. Seemed to be very clean, sanitary and safe .

(34,105 posts)We went in in the mid afternoon and the Election office on the side of town we live closest to was packed with cars and people but the rotating ballot box was across the street. It too had a long line of cars but we walked over and did that. I voted as you did. I checked every one of those suckers to rid us of the Brownback stain. It was running very well even though it was crowded. Almost everyone I know has voted early. Not that that amounts to much but hey....every vote counts. I love my pen, I got one for the primary too . Go Bollier. Did you see the earlier post about the R's in Kansas whining about the money situation? HaHaHaHa!

(10,429 posts)seems to have left a lot of republicons short of cash.
I happened to go by the election office again just now, and there's a nice long line. The weather is great today, Tuesday it was cold and gloomy. I've voted early before, and never encountered lines. They are very efficient here, and it's a fairly blue area, so I'm taking these lines as an excellent sign of turnout to be rid of MF45.
I didn't get a cool pen in the primary. That was before all the post office BS so I voted by mail then.

(10,828 posts)My line was longer but my husband and I lucked out with only an hour wait. Our poll people were on the ball informing people before entering the building and the voters all observed safety practices--masked and 6 ft social distancing.
I too read the ballot and Charter Amendments before voting. I always do this; just makes things easier.
Received my little sticker and walked away happy.

(9,965 posts)Had been planning to wait until Election Day, but decided to go ahead and just do it early. It was very smooth, no damn fool electioneering going on (although some idiot had managed to plant a tRump/Pence sign about as close as they dared to the registrar's office, which was the polling place), and I only had to stand in line for a minute behind my spousal unit while he got processed in. There were plenty of poll workers and they were modestly busy. Everyone was masked, social distancing was kept, and it was very pleasant. Got a cool sticker and went on about our business after voting blue all the way down.
