**Gallup Poll** 56% say Trump doesn't deserve re-election (Original Post) Wanderlust988 Oct 2020 OP
It's okay, but IMO 56% is absurdly low. Mike 03 Oct 2020 #1
Historically, it's a huge number as Trump is an incumbent Wanderlust988 Oct 2020 #2
Some of them will vote for him anyway. TwilightZone Oct 2020 #3
This is not really an approval or disapproval poll Wanderlust988 Oct 2020 #4
Same thing. TwilightZone Oct 2020 #5
Yes, and the same poll said 56% say they are better off now than four years ago. former9thward Oct 2020 #6
By election it could be 60% with a clean sweep of the House and Senate... WyattKansas Oct 2020 #7

But yeah I get your point. Trump is so detestable that it's shocking he gets over 10% of the vote.

Straight ticket R voters, for one.

Approval or disapproval doesn't equate directly to votes. Plenty of people disapproved of Trump in 2016 and voted for him anyway.

It's a question about re-election, which is more telling than just simply whether a voter approves/disapproves of the president.

Saying that he doesn't deserve to be reelected and not voting for him are two different things. They are not equivalent.

But you just know that the Republican Party and their ilk will start parroting how it was a very close election, so Biden and the Democratic Party must remain in the Center-Right for the sake of the country. Blah blah blah.
