I was close to her in the early 90's and she moved away. We lost touch. I thought about her off and on, and finally looked for her on facebook and found her. To my horror, her oldest son had been shot and killed by police. There is a video. I knew the victim when he was about 5, for a year or so. He was a nice kid, and had a younger sister and brother, who were also nice kids. My friend didn't tell me her sad news, but she posted the story on the anniversary of his death. Soon after that, there was a story about his survivors getting a settlement from City of Akron. So as far as I'm concerned, he and his family were victims of cops. My friend worked hard her whole life for her family. How unfair is it that her firstborn was taken in such a horrible way?
