(89,247 posts)real undecideds are "which way the wind blows" types . They will end up voting whichever way they think is the winning way so they can feel like they won.

(2,343 posts)I think that will be the deciding issue. A clear choice..(1) learn to live with it or (2) eradicate it.

(43,317 posts)a pharmacist, ffs) and many seem to think that Trump is the (this will make your head explode) partial VICTIM of anti science thinking! Not that he is the fucking RINGLEADER of anti-science.
Some also are blaming Biden for the being the original cage builder.
I think almost all are lying MAGAts cosplaying undecideds

(2,343 posts)I know Biden and team will take it seriously and go drastic if scientists recommend it. I just don't know we can wait until January 20 to do so, given we are entering a dark period.
Nonetheless, we are stockpiling currency at home and lots of canned foods and Ramen. Plus, we bought a side of beef...and 20 pounds of mesquite to smoke it with! And six 750ml jugs of Tito's!
We are ready when Biden gives the word. We need to bite the bullet, hunker down, and eradicate!

(43,317 posts)shitty hot take framing. Most seemed poorly educated too, and had terrible logic and critical thinking/reasoning skills. The African American ones (especially the black bloke under the LA Times square in the snapshot below, who tonight switched to Trump) were just so cringey. Very depressing, very.

(18,672 posts)They could be smart if they wanted to, but they instead choose to be vapid and uninformed. Whenever I meet someone from Europe I want to cry. They now more about American politics and history than most Americans.

(10,125 posts)They all wanted detailed plans from Biden. None realizing that each participant has 2 minutes to answer broad questions. None recognized that Joe answers the questions with at least high level targeted responses. None care, I guess, that Trump has never laid out even remotely a plan for anything, ever. Including on the debate stage. Zero ideas.
I would suggest these are all Trump voters and looking for an excuse to justify either to themselves, or others their plan to vote for Trump
That's who's "undecided." Trump voters who know they shouldn't. Or have guilt about how broken they are, but like the chaos and racism.

(43,317 posts)Almost all just ripped Biden's performance, called him old, tired, elusive, possibly in mental decline.
Trump as lesser of two evils was dominant meme, and they also think Biden will be a tool for Bernie and Harris and Pelosi.
NO WAY were they all undecideds, maybe 3 or 4 MAX.

(3,282 posts)Don't say much attention to what republican operative Frank Lutz's handpicked focus group has to say.
Polling shows Biden winning the debate. If you want to wait on regular polling, wait till Monday or Tuesday and that'll be it for the debates. Likely this doesn't move anything.

(5,804 posts)point out that job growth and economic growth were higher in the last 3 Obama years than in the first 3 Trump years. Obama mentioned this yesterday in Philly and I wish more Democrats would point this out. Trump has benefitted from the economy that Obama left him. Remember that Trump promised us 5% annual growth in GDP. This number was ridiculous when he said it, but let's hold him to account for not coming anywhere near it, even with the big tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations that were supposed to spur economic growth. More supply-side bull-pucky from Trump.
I also like to remind people that the decline in black unemployment was also greater under Obama's last 3 years than under Trump's first 3.
This panel of dunderheads thinks that as long as all the businesses are open people will go out to spend their money. This is incorrect- as the covid situation gets worse, people are going to hunker down more and spend less. They will continue to spend on the things they need (food, rent, internet connection for access to pornography, school) but will spend less on discretionary things. This will decrease aggregate demand for goods and services, which will slow economic growth (or sharpen the decline). If people do go out without taking the precautions, they will get sick and this too will place a drag on the economy. Trump's b.s. is just more supply-side stupidity. I will never forget that after the supply side ideas of Ronnie Reagan and the GOP were shown to be fraudulent in the early 90s, one of my grad school econ professors said to us: "Thank god that's over with."
The GOP has created a straw-man argument that everything in the economy is either open or it is closed. Biden has been careful to state, over and over, that we need to re-open in a smart way and still need to do those things to keep us safe (masks, distancing, hand-washing, avoiding crowds, etc).
Finally, to put a nail into this disorganized screed- Democrats needed to do a better job of taking credit for economic growth prior to Trump. The GOP has repeated the lie that Trump inherited a weak economy from Obama and the media rarely calls them on it. Biden should remind people of this when he gets the opportunity.
Added after initial posting: I wouldn't trust any Frank Luntz undecided voters panel. Judging by the responses posted here, most of the panel seems to be tuned into the GOP misinformation campaign.
