My boss is one of those die hard, embrace every word, every gesture, and every fart in the wind outta trumps mouth kinda guys. Today he almost made me upheave my lunch by telling me that trump is one of the most caring guys around.
We argue all the time about politics, and it always ends at the same point, with me telling him the right has no interest in equality amongst the populous. To which he always responds with, show me one conservative policy that has harmed small businesses! Theres that delusion that captain goblin cares about him like he does the billionaires, because they all think theyre gonna get there, and allegedly, he knows how.
I always ask him though, and I havent found an answer myself, one question. Show me one conservative policy that benefits the American working class. Wheres the republican support for workers rights? Are they the reason that most of the Middle East has better laws than we do about paternity and vacation?
I, until Donald trump became president had no reason to look these things up. I was shocked to find that better more inclusive rights could be found in a lot of Africa, and even Afghanistan. Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, turkey, most of the world. Per those countries government websites, they have better written, and more productive workers rights than we do. The only way we stand out is giving women all of our all-pretensive, half-baked rights as well. Though because enforcement is pretty questionable, we cant be to sure that even that is being carried out the way we say it is.
Can anybody here point me in the right direction? Is there a conservative policy that benefits workers, or their ability to thrive in our country?
