North Dakota, that bastion of freedumb - has a total population of 762,000. Approximately 662,000 above the age of 10 - making the assumption children under 10 don't constitute much of a sampling of positive covid tests.
The 35000+ confirmed positives means 1 in every 19 people are/were infected in the state. Someone explain to me how they can be such rabid devotees of the RUMP who has so grossly mismanaged this crisis, other than the obvious fact that most are BATSHIT Crazed Deplorable Loons??

I looked at ND and only one county in the whole state is not in a full outbreak status. One county! This is a rural low population density state.

This certainly is not " the " reason for becoming a devotee but it would seem that all other things being equal, a group of superstitious people are going to more readily accept an augmented reality as truth.

Let's add this,the demise of the Farmers Union which was replaced by the Farm Bureau . The later being the number one Insurer of Rural America and the single largest Political Donor for the GOP.

Five decades of B to B sales and service in the Rural Midwest I watched this glacial effect happen. Reagan was the change agent. Propaganda works. And as the young people left the Farms and moved to the city,the rural Population median age jumped to the mid 50's causing a conservative lean.

Compare that to Maine... we're doing relatively OK here.
Total population of Maine = 1.3 million
Total covid-19 cases in Maine since beginning of pandemic = 6,064.

More people live here and we have had way less cases.
