File under "D" for "DUH!"

Is there anyone who does not agree---really---secretly, perhaps---with exactly what Joe said last night: we have to GRADUALLY wean ourselves off oil and other fossil fuels?

Sure, there is urgency, but is anyone truly urging that we IMMEDIATELY stop using all fossil fuels?

Trump's pretending that this is a radical position is just another example of his ignorance and dishonesty.

Started that thread last night. Didn't get a lot of play, but basically, yes, it's way past time for a major political figure to say it out loud.

emissions if we want to continue living on this planet as there is no replacement Earth next door to move to.

We need a Manhattan Project-like national commitment to development of renewal energy sources—solar, wind, geothermal, wave, we even need to look at safe nuclear.

The oil companies need to get their heads out of the sand and get on board and participate as energy companies, seeing that they have decades of experience with infrastructure builds, distribution and research/development. It's an obvious, if they open their eyes, no brainer for them.
