https://filesforprogress.org/memos/2020%20Senate%20project/Week%205/Toplines/dfp_psp_nc_10.23.pdfIt's 48-44 for joe, but that isn't the interesting part.
The tabs show that while only 16% have already voted, 68% of that 16% reported voting for biden.
Also, the remaining voters support biden at 44 and trump at 47%. But independents appear to be breaking 2:1 for joe.
Now this is just a poll, but it tells me that we will do better with higher turnout. Again, inot an earthquake overall, but the insides look interesting.
I'm probably just reading too much into it. Who knows.

(21,999 posts)Anyone who thinks Trump 'won' the debate last night hasn't been on the this planet last 4 years.

(58,645 posts)That's been true since forever. Pretty much all of the modern era. When turnout is high, Dems win. When turnout is low, Repubs win.
Go! Vote! It works.

(14,708 posts)The south was very solid blue until we got smart and went the civil rights path. Many never changed their party but don't vote blue. Then there are the "nevers" who will never vote for a mainstream dem candidate.
It happens. There are also some people who just like to mess with pollsters.
Don't know though. I can't imagine anyone who is willing to identify as a democrat that could stomach voting for trump, but people are crazy.
