In 2016, Maine had 770,000 votes in the GE.
As of today, it has had 343K Votes returned by ballot
Democrats 180,724 52.6% a return rate of 81%
Republicans 72,459 21.1% a return rate of 75.9%
Minor 10,418 3.0% a return rate of 70.4%
NPA 79,900 23.3% a return rate of 71.3%
TOTAL 343,501
Dems are 52% of the vote so far....... Indies at 23% are outgunning GOP at 21%.
Looking at the last political leaning details.
Dems are outperforming their demographic by 5%
Gop are underperforming by around 15%
Indies are overperforming by around 7%
With almost half of the amount of 2016 vote in.........The Dems are doing very wellin gettingr vote out. The GOP need to get out if they stand any chance of saving Susan Collins but at the moment its looking a bit bleak for her, if this continues..............

(3,696 posts)Given the partisan split in Maine there doesn't seem to be enough Republicans to save her even if they all showed up and voted for her. I never understood how she stayed in office so long in a State as Blue as Maine.
