Rachel Maddow: "LET THE RECORD SHOW"

Let history note that this is what the president of the United States did, today, on the day the county had more new Covid infections than any other day thus far in the entire pandemic. That’s how he gathered his fellow Americans together today.

It really staggers me just how damnable stupid are the people who attend his ridiculous rallies. One of the factors that may very well be poetic justice is that the scientists do not know what the long term affects of the disease may be even for those show no symptoms. It attacks ACE proteins that are part of the structure of not only the lungs but numerous organs including the heart. As I understand it, the actual sequence is rather complex, but it these proteins that it has the means to which it has the key to become attacked to and invade the cells. So even if you do recover it is not established just what are the long time affects that it may have.

If he succeeds in doing so, it will be a miracle.

I can't find enough masks in that crowd to use all fingers on both hands. Statistically, with all the warnings out there about going maskless, there should be many more. Stubborness at its peak.

This is what makes their narcissistic canard about exercising personal “freedumb” is so lethal. It’s not just about them: if they want to commit mass suicide, well that’s their right but they have no right, none, under any moral, ethical or legal principle to endanger others through their acts. None. Their reckless acts endanger others who don’t wish to suffer and die because of their willful stupidity. They are, therefore, guilty of reckless endangerment for endangering the lives of anyone they come in contact with maskless after they knowingly exposed themselves to infection at this cult Kool Aid and Coronavirus ingestion event. In other words, they’re nothing but low life gutter criminals. As you say, I will have no sympathy either when they succumb to this and will reserve my sympathy for their innocent victims.

some of their money. Just like seat belt scofflaws, drunk drivers, cell phone users, etc. fine them, and if they keep doing it, take their driving privileges away. After a while even the most ignorant among us will learn.

Right now states with mask mandates have no way of enforcing the mandate. That has to change.

He is one of the biggest serial killers, (or mass murderers) in our history.

You could call it stochastic genocide, but that's too abstract. It is, technically 2nd degree murder.

It's amazing what they let you do when you're president these days.

He talked about shooting somebody on Fifth Ave and not losing votes. Well, for some people, he can kill hundreds of thousands and some people prove that point.

I wish we could protect the clueless, ignorant, befuddled victims he claims and, of course, this effects us all.

Purposefully shake a lot of hands and scream "Hail Trump!" and other magit banalities at close range and maybe sniff a bit pepper occasionally too. Like, just after the sneezing finally stopped and he had time enough to scream "Libtards SUCK!" in a lot of people's faces.

That would be awesome! Oh, wait NO, I meant awful of course

the local hospitals should set up stations at the entryways to Trump's rallies and ask people not wearing a mask to sign a release form stating that if they contract Covid, either at the Trump rally or anywhere else, they will NOT expect treatment at the hospital.

After all, the Trump campaign has them sign a release form saying they will not sue them if they get Covid at the rally.

become deathly ill with it themselves.

So could it be that Trump is far wiser than any of us ever imagined and THAT'S why he's holding these ass-cheeks-to-elbows super-spreader rallies? So that all of his followers experience Covid personally and finally learn they should take it seriously???

I'm just being sarcastic, of course.

that can't even begin to put their minds around their blatant hypocrisy in almost every statement they make.....

They are so easy to lead in a "circular" argument where they state at the end, my Dem opinion.

Since the Cheney/Rumsfeld administration's first days, I have disowned so many Republican friends, some even lifetime friends, because I couldn't stand their thinking, their actions and their total hypocrisy.

One of them, stated to a group of us Dems, "I think for myself and that's why I'm a Republican"...........
She was a college educated woman, yet was one of the most politically ignorant people I had ever met.........
She couldn't tell us how many Senators and House members there were, the three branches of government, etc etc etc
For a decade, she had only been watching FOX and listening to RW radio. Psychiatrists are coming to believe that this was the equivalent of "communist re-education camps" and has basically achieved a brain washing all these TrumpHumpers......
