Mormon bloggers accuse Ann Romney of not wearing her garments
Wednesday night when Ann Romney walked out onto the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, apparently some people were more concerned about her hemline than what she had to say.
Looking at photos from Anns appearance on the show, Mormon blog sites blew up accusing Ann of not wearing her temple garments, something all LDS people are expected to do who've been through the temple.
One writer on lds.net commented - "The first thing I noticed was there was no way she was wearing garments." Others said "In this picture, it's clear she's not, or that she's pushed up the sleeves." And "Is it possible Ann is tall enough that they would not have shown when she sat down?"
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints doesn't like to talk about garments, they consider them sacred. But for people who wear temple garments it's common knowledge that the bottom part is supposed to come down to about the knee.

Ann Romney was showing a little knee on an appearance this week on Jay Leno's show. Judging from some of the blogs out there, you'd think she'd blasphemed.
She wore a staple of every woman's wardrobe... the little black dress. It was fashionable, but in my opinion tasteful.
And yes, it did have sleeves.
But because we saw her knees on national TV, apparently some Mormons are accusing her of not wearing the temple garment.

You can see Mitt's undergarments showing in the photo in the OP and Ann's undergarments in the photo down in the comments section.

Was Mitt once an underwear model, like Scott Brown?

(11,045 posts)Take note, everyone, in case you ever hear that I've been converted. I'd never sign up for a religion that was dumb enough to make me wear that garment, let alone one that insisted the I wear a bra OVER it rather than under it. Not even after death.

(14,443 posts)wear all those slinky little numbers in her shows? Is it allowed if wearing a costume in your occupation? Or do they have an abbreviated version? (remembering back in the old Catholic days when head gear was mandatory for women, so a tiny lace hanky pinned to the hair was acceptable to those who didn't want to mess up the "do".

The cross is never used because "they worship the resurrected Jesus and don't focus on the manner of his death."
When I was a missionary we got asked about the cross all the time, we were taught to say we focus on the resurrection and it was common practice to point out if he had been shot would people be putting guns around their necks and on top of their churches?
Moroni - the I statue you posted, is the reason for the restoration of the gospel (he put the plates together that the Book of Mormon was translated from)
