(23,552 posts)i know states are publishing data on votes cast and absentee ballots returned but i haven't seen any data on individual voters and whether they cast a ballot in 2016 or not. so where did he obtain that number?

It's not just a youth surge though, the younger voters who are fueling this massive turnout increase are more likely to be Dems. At this point Dems have a lead of almost 30 pts in modeled partisanship, up from 21 pts at this point in 2016.

Voters under the age of 30 now account for a larger share of the electorate than they did at this point in '16. And that's while older voters are surging on their own.

They have each States votes broken down with demographic info like age and sex and well as whether they are first time, casual or frequent voters based on prior voting history. It also has the head to head analysis based on votes using Party Registration or some other method.
