(32,017 posts)Voting against cloture means voting FOR keeping the debate open (i.e. voting to allow a filibuster of the nomination).
Voting FOR the nominee is obvious in its meaning, if thats what she said, but there will be no vote on this nominee unless Republicans pass a cloture motion (closing debate), and if Murkowski votes against cloture, that actually helps those of us who oppose this nominee.

(52,183 posts)Here she actually sided with democrats and did what we wanted her to do, even if it's only because they knew republicans had the votes they needed without her.
So we should be cynical of her show vote, but not (yet) angry for the (incorrect) reason cited.
ETA: well, maybe we can be angry. It's just that the op tweet cited the wrong thing:
