Nailed it, as always, Madam Secretary. Sad that more people didn't heed her warning. We can--and must--make up for that on Nov. 3rd.

(23,661 posts)They were the original both sides advocates, trying not to be seen as biased. But the ones who really hung her out to dry was Mika and Joe. Mike criticized HRC every chance she got.

(25,511 posts)Featured speakers this month at Goldman Sachs are Howard Shultz, a journalist, an author of a book on the historical struggle between democracy and dictatorship, author of a book on JFK, and someone from the Soros Fund Management. Guess all those people are now corrupt and puppets of Wall St. who have to do what they say forever and ever because they were paid for a speech. How big of a fool do you have to be to believe that absurd conspiracy theory? The mind reels.

(25,511 posts)The most honest of anyone running in the 2016 elections: "I just don't trust her." Most common word in her speeches was "jobs," she had a plan for everything, tried to pass universal health care bill in 1993, instrumental in the Children's Health Insurance Program: "She doesn't stand for anything, a weathervane, doesn't care about the working class." The morons with their neoliberal-establishment-elite-corporatist-corrupt-Wall St. mindless parroting. The media with the email nonsense, never presenting the policies of the two candidates. It all comes flooding back...

(21,448 posts)person in politics that I've ever seen and has never been indicted or charged for anything. Always came out of the multitude of the ridiculous, phony investigations completely clean.
But the most corrupt, criminal candidate I've ever seen labelled her as crooked. Talk about projection.

(21,633 posts)To give us a glimpse of what people in many other countries have had to put up with (often for a lot longer than 4 years) - and to teach us that our democracy is a lot more fragile than we've been taught to believe in high school.
May we not waste this chance to show we have indeed learned.
ancianita
(36,053 posts)Totally. We Scorpios are in sync like that.
You put my very thoughts out there.
We will not waste this moment and have learned, but we also know that many will and they have not.

My mother once mentioned that I was born two weeks early - which would have made me a Scorpio.
But, alas, no such luck.

(9,988 posts)But both the right-wing media and the mainstream media decided to destroy her. Still think she would be a fantastic president, but it is not to be at this point. Hillary would never have practically shut down the US health presence in Wuhan, China, in 2017-18. She would have recognized the seriousness of the virus and responded appropriatelyand thousands of Americans might still be alive today. My heart breaks for the families that have lost loved ones to a virus that could have most likely been contained if Trump had not cut the epidemiologists and health experts working in Wuhan and Beijing from 47 to 14. One of the people moved out of China was the manager overseeing the animal disease monitoring programthe very source of Covid-19. The world should hold Trump accountable for this virus because it might have been prevented entirely if he had not cut the staff in China because he is too stupid to believe in taking measures to protect the country when they dont seem to benefit him personally. I have never in my life hated a person as I hate Trump.

(1,408 posts)That "3am call" statement gave me the willies the first time I heard it, but then, I had just finished reading "The Dead Zone" again. Some of the similarities are amazing.
Then there was the help of moscow mitch and so many other rethuglicons.
Unfortunately, we're having a bird's-eye view of what 'Trumplethinskin' will do and how he'll react to those he believes has wronged him, no matter how much it hurts the country or world, or how many"enemies" he kills to prove what a man he is.
