I get more unwanted email than wanted ones so I just go through quick deleting many of them.

3. I Get Multiple Texts Every Day From The Trump Campaign.......

.............offering 700%, 800%, even 900% matching of donations. I had a similar question. WHO is ponying up the dough? And how is this not a violation of campaign finance laws?

FYI, I get texts from the Trump campaign because I signed up to "attend" one of his rallies. Well, my dog and 3 of his friends did. And you have to give them a valid cell phone number to confirm the tickets. I haven't opted out of the text messages because I don't want to risk having any problems until after the election. Plus, the texts I get from them (10 of them just yesterday, by the way), are pure comedy, and a 180-degree difference from the texts I get from the Biden campaign.

15. Matching grants are an established way of encouraging donations . . .

but they should always specify who is providing the match, and how much it is for . . . generally a dollar for dollar match is plenty . . . anything more should be looked at with suspicion, imho . . .
