For the last 30 years, any Republican who said something like "Well, Rush doesn't know everything" or "Rush isn't all that important" was on Limbaugh's show within 48 hours trying out for the Olympic backpedaling team.

"Oh, no, Rush, I said nothing of the sort. The lying liberal media took my words out of context, just like they always do, just like you always say. I think you're a swell guy."
