National Democratic Redistricting Committee

With an unprecedented move by Senate Republicans to fill a Supreme Court vacancy and a president who is determined to undermine our nation's most trusted scientists, it's difficult to look away from the national political scene.

But with the final votes set to be cast in just over a week, I'm writing today to ask you as one of our most committed supporters: Please stay focused on the down-ballot races that the NDRC is fighting to win in its 13 target states.

Reproductive rights, criminal justice reform, voter protection, education -- and of course redistricting -- they all depend on whether we're able to win state elections this fall.

If you can, please pitch in now to help the NDRC compete with Republican spending in down-ballot races before it's too late.

We're facing some serious obstacles: Mitch McConnell has obstructed commonsense voter empowerment measures from advancing through the Senate, and the GOP has a $20 million war chest designed to launch legal challenges against laws that expand access to voting.

Plus, the Trump campaign has a plan to recruit 50,000 "poll watchers" in a cynical attempt to intimidate voters. Historically, these kinds of efforts have been heavily concentrated in polling places with large numbers of Black voters -- we can't let that happen again.

And even before the latest attempts to force through another Trump justice, the Supreme Court had refused to allow federal courts to review partisan gerrymandering cases, making our state-by-state strategy to defeat Republican map manipulators all the more important.

There are no do-overs after November 3. We need all the help we can get right now to defend voting rights and get fair-map Democrats to the redistricting table -- so if you're able, please pitch in whatever amount you can to help today. I'm counting on you.
