I have volunteered as a poll observer in NYC...

Interestingly, this is a volunteer program of the City, rather than either Party.

Volunteer slots available in 3 hour slots throughout the day.

Volunteer for Our Democracy

New Yorkers are projected to vote in unprecedented numbers during the 2020 general election. With the COVID-19 pandemic placing new strains on New York City’s election systems, it has never been more important to help make sure all eligible New Yorkers are able to cast their ballots, and to do so safely and without intimidation.

That is why DemocracyNYC, the City’s nonpartisan election outreach initiative, invites you to volunteer as a NYC Election Observer.
