This is a video of mother Lilli and daughter Ava, aged 24 months, having a conversation at the dinner table. They are both deaf and thus were able to sign from when Ava was born.
Sadly, many families are not getting the support they need to learn to communicate with their child, particularly those who want to learn sign language. Language is not a privilege, it is a right.
