My only sibling - my sister, 7 years younger - lived almost 3000 miles away, so we rarely saw each other. When I last saw her, I had a strong feeling that it was for the last time. She had a nasty version of Parkinson's and she looked more like my mother in her middle stages of Alzheimer's....but her brain was still relatively unscathed.
