After Trump's attacks on Lesley Stahl, O'Donnell was being extremely careful not to show favoritism. The network needed her to show that she was not for Biden. Yes it was unsmiling and came across as skepticism, but no question was unfair or gotcha.

Her interview was GOOD for our candidates. They didn't show defensiveness, and they showed they could stand up to tough questions. Bet it was a net plus for them.

O'Donnell is on a "legacy network." Unlike cable networks they are required to serve the public interest, convenience, and necessity. She did that by asking tough questions.

There's a time for a warm and friendly interview. This was not it.

This is why people are so fucking stupid. Lies and propaganda are spread like that crap being passed off as an interview. The truth is hard to find for the lazy. Biden/Harris should freeze these fuckers out of their White House.

someone is being unfairly accused of BS by GOPers. Haven’t seen it yet, but I bet the question was not meant to catch Democrats.

She is on an over-the-air broadcast network and is obligated to ascertain the issues her audience cares about (unlike cable which has no public interest obligations) and ask the questions. I saw the whole thing and it was a tough but good, and fair interview.

She felt able to smile with Kamala.

I've never seen her non-smiling before, but it was the right thing to do in her interview with Biden considering Trump's attacks on 60 Minutes and news in general. Her questions were tough and fair.

I'm a fan.

Besides, I think that presidential candidates and their running mates should be vetted on our behalf. I bet it helped the campaigns. I don't think it hurt Joe or Kamala at all.

Kamala Harris was the AG and now Senator of the largest state in the union. She has always supported mainstream liberal positions and is no socialist or radical in any way but as establishment and mainstream as one can get. Norah Odonnell knows this and this is not tough journalism but sensationalism. Kamala's reaction was spot on, to simply laugh in her face.

For 100 years, Republicans have been labeling Dems as communists sympathizers and fellow-travelers. Most Americans don't even know the difference between communists and socialists, much less what they are.

I think it's one she's picked up from Biden. He got a pretty good laugh out of Paul Ryan's (remember him?) Gish Gallop at the VP debates, I think it was 2008.

When they're that blatantly ridiculous, they need to be laughed at.

The media talking heads are quick to ask Democrats about their supposed socialistic leanings, but there's never an equivalent query to proven right-wing zealots about being fascists, which they clearly are. That's a question that's deserving of an email to said talking heads for an answer, I believe.

Maureen Dowd is an allegedly-liberal NYT columnist who always seems to find a way to criticize Democrats, "understand" where Republicans are coming from, or both. Mind you, I stopped reading her a few years back, and maybe she's seen the error of her ways since then, I don't know.

I thought she was awful. I felt she was mean-spirited and some of her questions inappropriate. I understand her not asking softball questions but she went way overboard in terms of being flat out rude....What a turn-off.....
