History tells us this should be a year of Democrats capturing all 3 - House/Sen/Pres.

History should tell us to watch what happened in previous elections.

Look at years where there was enthusiasm for a change.

1976, 1992, 2008, what did they all have in common.

These where all elections where the Democrats took all 3 , House, Senate and Presidency.

There have only been 2 instances since the 1970's where the GOP has controlled all 3 after a Presidential election.

2004 and 2016.

So what do they have in Common - The time the Dems all captured were times there was promise of hope and rejection of perceived really bad Presidencies, corruption. Carter, Clinton and Obama. Also years where Senate was favorable to Democrats.

The only time this happened for GOP and GOP captured all 3 in a Presidential election was Bush in 2004 and Trump in 2016....both close elections, both with favorable Senate timetable runs for GOP.

Fast forward to 2016, We have a Dem house with no signs of turning back this year, if Trump was holding onto 2016 voters to win, he should be running well and winning CD's he should not be but we are seeing poll after poll saying he is not but rather lagging 8-10 points behind where he was in 2016. This election is not 2016.

We have a favorable Senate Timetable in 2020 and again in 2022.

I honestly don't see how we win both the house and Senate and not win the Presidency, it just does not match up.

If anything, this election is another 1976, 1992, 2008.

Don't forget, the Senate Seats that were up in 2008 are the ones up in 2020...........we took 8 that year of the GOP.

All three elected pieces of government.
Dems/liberals won't have SCOTUS. That's the 3rd branch of government.
Senate & House are 2 parts of the first branch. Then the exec, presuming a Biden win.
Really, only 2 branches.

...that I share your optimism. And if we don't take the Senate, their obstruction will be a massive issue in '22 when they've got a lot of seats to defend.
