I hope we can avoid the "Well, we fixed that!" attitude WHEN we elect Biden/Harris.

Our job as citizens continues---in some regards BEGINS---with a new administration. And, there are no "silver bullets"; there are no obvious easy remedies for what is afflicting us.

This new administration will begin the long, gradual, sometimes painful process of restoring integrity and trust and caring to our government. They will need our support and involvement. Let's do this, ok?

during a pandemic will find the next time around it is way faster and easier, cementing the idea that voting is important in their minds.

We can be sure that Republicans will not just go away and be silent. We are going to have to fight every step of the way for the next 4 years. If we don't, we are doomed. We've seen now what can happen when we sit back and do nothing.

Thanks for the reminder.

with elected officials like AOC and other young progressives, as well as activists like the Parkland kids and the community leaders focused on racial justice and police reform, younger people see that change CAN happen but it isn't overnight. And there ARE plans in place to move things forward, while also facing the past head on.

We must keep expectations realistic and pragmatic. It's going to be a very long difficult uphill slog.

Some fairly radical work needs to be done, especially with a trifecta victory. The legislation people need must be passed, and passed quickly. No obstacle can be brooked in this.

Done... A "saturday nite special" if you will. Replace all the heads with people who KNOW how to run those departments well. Clean the slate and bring it back to pre tRump time and then make it better for the working man and woman. Repeal the obscene tax givaway to the rich and tax them to bring the country back on an even keel, reduce the crazy budget (should make the fiscal hawks happy on the right) and start to turn this virus thing around... Just my wish YMMV...

I have no doubt that by the next presidential election their line will be: "Trump had everything under control and then the Democrats came in and screwed it up."

Just like they did with President Obama, blaming HIM for the economic meltdown that came during Bush II. Come to think of it, they also blamed 9-11, not on Bush/Chaney for ignoring all the flashing red lights, but on Clinton.

Shit, I've even seen Republicans blame the Great Depression on FDR.

We need to stomp on this every time we see it.

Dems have to learn from the Obama Administration, and, above all, start planning for the midterms. There cannot be a repeat of 1994 or 2010.
