this is the worst fucking day

i'm sorry, i don't post much, like never, but today weighs heavy. I can't seem to stop crying, and i assure you, that is not me.

for what purpose is this ACB, it seems not to promote business, the gravy god of all R's but simply to punish women. and gays. that's the ship they want to go down on.

hatred of women and gays.

(I'll be fine, but thanks for letting me vent and just get thru this day)

Dickens would recognize this plot twist. It is about enabling cruelty by the powerful and shaming anyone who is thus made vulnerable.

It is also about breaking the Constitution and the Courts so that no one can resist the corrupt and the powerful.

IMO it ranks with Dec 7, 1941 for infamy and insult to humanity.

For the masses to enslave them, so that a few can PROFIT off of all others misfortunes. That is the only thing that their policies reduce themselves down to for an end result. Because they are a criminal organization that opposes any progress or gains for people, unless they are the only ones that benefit from that progress and gain.

With the Republican Party's track record and actions the last decade, they have proven that the Constitution and Founding Fathers are only props to be exploited when it serves them and should be torn up when they do not serve their screeches and whines. The Republicans and their Federalist Society are a crock of shit thug tactic to shake down all of America for their cut and their way. How many times do they have to prove that they really are the Enemy of the State and the Enemy within for the Democratic Party to treat them that way?

The Democratic Party did not choose or force the Republican Party's and Federalist Society's extremist hi-jacking deeds, they did. They are also the ones that chose to elevate Corporations as ruling Citizens over people Citizens and reduced people Citizens to Subjects that only have Rights under guns, religion, or something that is useful to a Corporation Citizen.

Please calm yourself down. We are all immensely more effective at dealing with problems when we are calm, than when we are disturbed and upset. It's not just hatred for women. Trump wants to kill the ACA, because it was Obama's main achievement. Republicans want to kill the ACA, because they work for Wall St, Exxon, and for-profit only healthcare.

We can change this. I'm not saying it will be easy. But we can do it. I'm an old lady of 73. I've done my bit fighting against the Vietnam war, voter suppression, gay rights, and legal abortion. It's now up to the younger generation to bring about changes that better our lives. Once Biden takes office, we all need to support him.

I know Joe may not be in favor, nor some of the more conservative Dem Senators. But every single advance the Left has made for the past 50 years will be targets of the Right. With a 3-6 court, with at least 5 of them staunchly conservative, we will have no leverage to block the RW agenda.

A court of at least 15 Justices is needed. So an addition of 6. Biden can appoint 3 during his 1st term. Also replace any Justice who retires or dies during those 4 years. So at the end of Biden's 4 year term there will be 12 justices (6 Liberal, 6 Conservative). That will at least balance out the court. Then the remaining 3 can be appointed, 1 every 2 years after his 1st 4 year term.

Plus I got a flu shot last Friday and have felt all achy since and I cannot stop looking at the news and I just kept hoping and hoping that something would work to stop this madness.

But no, the miserable hateful Rethugs have done what they have worked toward since 1973.

I think sometimes it is ok to just feel the bad. And then we can move on.

Also, I must say, I am an older woman....and I had the strongest reaction to her - I just want to slap her across the face! Isn’t that odd? Like what in the world?

In fact it is a unique reaction.

But it is a strong and visceral one. That smug sanctimonious attitude really seems to have sent me over the edge.

So, you have my sympathy.

Let’s get through this.

But, I truly think we can lift each other into light. We can change things to better suit our needs. We will do this, but it will take effort and time. Work to help this cause, it might make you feel better.

By U2 is one of my go-to songs in times like these. I listened to it almost constantly after Bush v. Gore. Gotta keep going

Everyone, even the GOP faithful, see the hypocrisy and know how blatantly unfair this is and expect, yea, some even aquessing and in agreement that a rebalancing is needed.

Besides, we are a much bigger country now and realistically need more Justices

There's way too much backlog in the lower courts and separate circuit appeal courts for only 9 Justices to handle in a timely manner
