Sometimes he comes out and makes some change or changes that seem minor. Others he reports good/bad news of much more significance.
Given the way things are trending nationwide, I imagine if it's anything major, it won't be good.

We average 300 to 500 pieces of candy given out each year for the past 8 years.
I'll miss seeing the cute kids but it really isn't safe this year.
