Add two more Dems to the "just voted" count
No early voting in NH, and until this year absentee voting meant you were actually absent on election day. Covid is now a permissible reason for voting absentee. So, spouse and I popped over to the town hall, submitted our absentee ballot requests, filled out the ballots, and gave them back. All while chatting with the town clerk and sharing photos of our grandchildren.
BTW, someone posted here a week or so ago about some places requiring appointments for collecting and submitting absentee ballots, and that this is voter suppression. Our small town closed its offices early on in the pandemic, and everything was done by appointment, or residents were encouraged to do as much as they could online. The same applied to requesting absentee ballots in person (as opposed to mail); I think there was a drop box dedicated to receiving absentee ballots (wasn't paying close attention because I just handed them in). In any case, definitely not voter suppression, at least in a small town. Just a reasonable Covid caution. We made the appointment on Friday, popped on over this morning, and voted.
