Here is the newest article from Harry Enten. He's always worth the time to listen to.
But perhaps most worrisome for the President: Trump's clearly behind his 2016 pace. By this point four years ago, he was rapidly closing the gap with Hillary Clinton. No such advancements can be seen in the 2020 polling against Biden.
Right now, Biden is up by about 9 to 10 points nationally, depending on the average you examine. He is, importantly, over 50%. Biden's edge may be down a point or so from early October, though it is well within the historical average from the beginning of the year.

(15,637 posts)widely held opinion of him as a public figure. His name should go down as one of national disgrace.

(9,952 posts)up guy. He was a coward and a traitor. They made such a scandal of Bill saying his to AG on a tarmac for five minutes and made excuses for Comeys overstep. I cannot stand the man and would love for his reputation to be in the toilet for that, not because Trump decided he did not like the man.

(22,077 posts)IMHO (my calculations when I jotted on the back of an envelope), so changing these 'set in stone' percentages is next to impossible and if anything, way too late.
If anything, like the energizer bunny, trump's mouth will keep going and going, and he'll keep ranting, raving, moaning, bitching, complaining, whining, all of his normal stuff (pretty classy for a supposed $billionaire, eh?) and his ratings will only keep getting worse. Despite being told to 'shut up' by people in the know, he refuses to listen to anyone. Moron. No wonder he's declared bankruptcy six times and is in hock for at least a $billion dollars (or more). Even more dire is that since he's already taken all of the tax deductions for these properties he owns (supposedly), he'll fail to declare tons of recent income and have no more deductions to claim.
I suspect that we're seeing the tip of the blowout too. Someone on DU posted a thoughtful analysis of why they thought the anticipated blowout numbers for Mr. Biden were underestimated, and their arguments made sense. I wish I could post here some of its tidbits but I'm not going to have any luck in finding that post very easily.
