Can we just say it? At least once?

Every piece of good news I have read this year about the election always ends up spawning tons of comments along the lines of "dont get complacent!", "the only poll that matters is the one of election day!", "Just vote!", etc. Yes yes, that's all well and good but can we just say it, at least once, right now that Trump is going to lose and it isn't going to be close? The mother fucker is down by double digits with a week to go before the election, he has never polled ahead, is out of money and the country is collapsing around us. Yet those of us on the left are still like "I don't know, anything could happen, remember 2016, I don't want to get me hopes up." I get that attitude but at the same time, come on! Can we just, among us, say what is clearly staring us right in the face? Can we just say that we are going to win this election? Are we going to keep going with this PTSD "oh my god just vote!" attitude until all of the votes are counted? Are we really going to act like Biden having realistically a 95% chance of winning like it's a toss up?

I mean I get it but at the same time...come on

we are winning and I add that people must get out and vote to make sure it is an unforgettable landslide. Not just a win, but a blue tsunami that will give our next president a clear mandate for change. It needs to be a powerful message to republican politicians that they need to change or face possibly an entire generation as a powerless party. I'm not even sure the republican party will survive at all.

At the same time, I haven't forgotten my confidence in the American people that we wouldn't allow a skunk like Trump to get anywhere near the White House as anything other than a guest on a tour. (Or at least close enough for someone to steal the election for him.)

I haven't forgotten the feeling. That horrible, sick, unmanning, helpless feeling of nausea that came like a gut-punch on Election Night. Until reliable sources call it for Joe Biden, I'm going to remember that sick feeling, and forgo the breezy confidence I had that Hillary had it in the bag.

The concern that I have is the cheating.

If our turnout is so large that it is irrelevant, then that will be a powerful message that people are fed up with the GOP cheating.

The GOP strategy since Nixon, has been to systematically decrease participation in elections and call into question the democratic institutions. They have worked. We consistently get more votes that Republicans. The problem is the the margins by which we have to win have been pushed out to larger and larger needed percentages because THEY CHEAT.

This time, you have a known cheater, a man who doesn't really even try to hide the cheating like previous people tried. Republicans are desperate too because they know they cannot win on policy. They haven't been able to do that for a LONG LONG time, which is why they developed this particular strategy. When your policies are unpopular with 70% or more of the population, you find other ways to win.

I feel something different this time. That there is more enthusiasm to actually get rid of Trump. It is just difficult to run around triumphantly stating that it will be a landslide, when the Republican ground CHEATING game is so well developed.

We hadn't had Trump for 4 yrs to see how horrible and what a mess. And a woman. And yes, women have been conditioned to not back women.

Totally different situation. He is an old white man so he gets kudos from the left, right and in the middle.

I agree, I get tired of hearing it too. I say, everyone get your ass to vote, grab another, and cheer and sing and dance all the way because I want a fucking tsunami. Not any mere wave, but I want to take them all out.

And I want to have fun while we do it.

Edit to add: Along with the old white man, we have THE most left woc progressive, and our Youth and Warren progressives can get behind that.

WE ARE GOLDEN.

so how about, "Don't count your chickens before they're hatched"?

Even Biden's campaign is saying the race is much tighter than the polls are indicating.

Sorry, but I personally couldn't tolerate another body slam like 2016. I feel good about where things are at right now, but I won't count my chickens before they're hatched.....

Vote for Biden, and pray that Republican and Russian cheating shenanigans don’t work.

I’m not worried about Trump getting more overall votes or more votes in strategic swing states. I’m worried about Biden not winning by a large enough margin to overcompensate for:

1) Voter purges, especially in Black communities

2) Russian hacking of voting machines, i.e. switching or dumping of Biden votes

3) Trump challenging the vote count, and using his stolen SCOTUS to invalidate the vote count in strategic swing states

4) other methods that haven’t been detected yet

Biden will best Trump, just like I believe Clinton bested Trump...but will Biden best Tump+Russia+SCOTUS+Repuke cheating tactics

Clinton sure as hell didn’t.

30. The 2016 difference to 2020...

Hillary had already been vilified by the Republican Party for decades, a lot of people were at a coin toss stage of decision, a lot of people weren't really excited about voting except Republicans against Hillary, and tRUMP (anyone that remembered the 80s should have known he was a fraud) was an so called outsider to shake up Washington.

Today:
1) tRUMP has failed miserably and will go down in history as the worst President ever.
2) tRUMP has only proven he is a fraud and snake oil salesman.
3) tRUMP has only corrupted Washington a hell of a lot more.
4) tRUMP has failed completely to protect the American People or even acknowledge the threat.
5) tRUMP has only pissed people off and drives away support for him with his failure to even do his job responsibilities.
6) People cannot wait to FIRE tRUMP.
7) Etc. etc. for who know how long.

Joe Biden is the complete opposite of tRUMP and has proven that he can be trusted and will do what is right for the American People.
